Ridge Spring-Monetta will open the season on the road against Augusta Christian on Thursday, August 18, in a game that will be televised on MeTV. The game will be the first of the season in the area, as most other teams will kick things off the following day.
The Trojans are coming off a 9-3 season and a trip to the class 1A quarterfinals. Head coach Brian Smith has compiled an overall record of 21-14 during his first three seasons. RS-M reached the state championship game in 2019, which was Smith's first season.

Midland Valley will host Grovetown Friday, August 19. The Mustangs have managed to win only 5 games during the past 5 seasons combined. But it wasn't long ago (2015) when the Trojans made it all the way to the state championship game. And the recent transfer of junior running back Traevon Dunbar has brought a buzz to the Valley.
