After winning 19 straight games and advancing all the way to the national championship game, Augusta (33-4) ended the season as the national runner up, the champion of the Southeast Region, the Peach Belt Conference regular season and tournament champion, and the team that holds the distinction of winning more games than any other team in Jaguar history.
Three days after the season ended, head coach Dip Metress spoke at length about the season, the post season, his players and the program’s immediate future.
